Early Bird Discount ~ Meditation for Beginners.

Come Om with me small no urlSince January I’ve been planning to run a month-long online course in meditation for beginners. And until April, I’ve been happily plotting it in my head but not doing anything practical to make it actually happen. I was procrastinating because there’s lots of technical aspects to this programme I need to put in place and I couldn’t decide how I would sort them all out.

But then a couple of weeks ago I made an important decision—I set a start date, even though my ducks were scattered all about the place. Summer solstice, June 21st it is—and, as if by magic, I started figuring things out. Even the perfect name arrived! (Well, I think it’s perfect.)

As a pilot programme, I’m keeping the price seriously low—€27 for a 28 day programme. And I’ll be looking for feedback from participants (strictly optional, but very welcome) on what tweaks or improvements might be needed for future versions.

There’s still lots to sort, and I’m giving myself until June 1st to get all the ducks in a row to officially launch it. But I’ve decided to do a “soft launch”—to offer an Early Bird discount to anyone who registers between now and the end of May. The catch? Only to let me know if you experience any glitches in your registration, or if there’s something you think I should change or improve in the sales process before I officially launch. Again, no obligation to do this, but it would be greatly appreciated.

How does it work?

You get a daily email from me containing:

* A SHORT video—either outlining a SIMPLE meditation technique OR a tip to help integrate meditation into your daily life.

* A downloadable audio—on the days when a new meditation technique is explained. There will be four options: 5 minute, 10 minute, 15 minute or 20 minute audio to guide you in practicing the meditation yourself.

* A link to join me in a live meditation via webinar at 7pm GMT each evening.

If you’re on Facebook, you are also welcome to join a private group where I will share helpful resources. This will also give you the opportunity to interact with other participants and to post questions that may arise for you. Although I may not be able to answer all questions, I will be monitoring the posts and may amend the course curriculum to address issues that are coming up, if I haven’t already included them.

Who is it for?

This is a beginner’s course, so it’s for anyone who has an interest in learning to meditate, or anyone who’s given it a go in the past but hasn’t managed to make it a daily practice.

It’s particularly geared towards those who feel that time is a major stumbling block to developing a daily practice. The videos will be kept deliberately short, and just take on one issue per day. And there’s a selection of times to choose from when doing your own meditation. So, if you can take one ten minute, or two five minute breaks in your day, then you’ll have time to fit this into your busy routine.

The live evening meditation, as well as participation in the facebook group, is completely optional. If you don’t have time for that, you can still use this programme to help you develop your own daily practice.

How do I get the Early Bird discount?

    Thanks for the comment. It’s deliberately cheap this time round because it’s a pilot project. It won’t be nearly so cheap the next time! ;-)

    The intended outcome is for each participant to develop a daily habit of meditation. I can’t guarantee any particular results – everyone experiences their own benefits. But they can only experience the benefits if they make the practice a habit rather than an occasional practice. This is to support them in doing that.
